Nicole (Christofferson) Miller grew up in Irvine. She graduated from Irvine High School in 1989 after being
very involved in performing arts and receiving various awards and scholarships in drama, dance and music. Nicole attended Brigham Young University and spent six months abroad in Europe studying humanities.
Upon her return to the University, she taught foreign language classes and completed her degree graduating with a B.A. in theater arts with a minor in dance. She presented a paper at the Annual Dance Symposium and was
chosen to have her article published in the BYU Dance Journal.
She began as a teaching assistant to a professor for the BYU Children's Danceworks teaching creative dance to five year olds. She taught at
the Apollo Dance Studio and then at the Academy of Ballet in Utah. At both studios, Nicole instructed students ranging from age 3 to 17 years in ballet, tap and jazz.
She has choreographed four musicals
and has performed and worked backstage in numerous plays and musicals. She has also been a guest instructor.
Since returning to Irvine, Nicole has been choreographing for the Irvine Singers show
choir at Irvine High School, as well as for choirs at Venado and Rancho San Joaquin Middle Schools. Her husband, Ryan, and she are busy with four young children. Her students and parents love her use of
creativity and fun to teach dance.
