Janna Skye received her ballet training under the direction of Maria Lyon (former Prima Ballerina,
Stuttgart Opera Ballet) at the Glendale Ballet Center in Glendale, California. As a member of the school's youth ballet company, Janna participated in Classical Ballet and Ukrainian Character Dance
performances throughout the local community for several years.
She is a graduate of University of Southern California in Cultural Anthropology and communication.
As well as teaching dance, Janna is currently the Executive Director of World Ministry to Others, a nonprofit humanitarian relief organization.
As a teacher, Janna incorporates the Vaganova/Kirov method of Classical Ballet with the concept that every movement be essential as even
the smallest gesture has the power to inspire emotion within the observer. When proper technique becomes rote, the mind and body are freed to fully express their art. She values the opportunity to work with the
youngest students at Pacific Dance with the hope of helping them develop lifelong appreciation for music and dance.
